A colleague of mine recently asked me to look over some forms related to her parents’ estate planning, and what seemed simple at first turned into a really stressful situation. We noticed that even small details, like a missing date or a slightly unclear signature, could cause issues later on. It surprised me how fragile these processes are, and how one overlooked section can mean delays or even rejection. Sitting there, trying to make sense of all the pages, I realized how important it is to approach official paperwork with much more caution than most of us expect.
