I'm absolutely fuming right now because I took my brand new Genesis GV70 to one of those automated car washes that everyone said was "safe" and "touchless," and now I've got these horrible fine scratches all over the driver's side door that are clearly visible in direct sunlight. I specifically chose the supposedly premium wash option thinking it would be gentle on the paint, but clearly the brushes or whatever they use must have had some grit trapped in them, and now I'm left with a car that's barely two months old looking like I've been off-roading through thorn bushes. I've learned my lesson the hard way and I'm never going near an automated wash again, but now I need to find a proper hand wash place that actually takes pride in their work and doesn't just rush through it with dirty mitts and cheap soap that strips off the wax. I've been asking around and some people say you need to find a place that uses the two-bucket method and fresh microfiber towels for each car, because otherwise you're just rubbing the dirt from the previous car all over your paint. I'm also thinking about getting a paint correction done to remove these scratches, but that's going to cost me a fortune and I'd rather just find a good wash place first so I don't end up in the same situation again. A friend of mine in the capital recommended Skilled Car Wash By 800Sayara Abu Dhabi and said they actually take the time to do it properly rather than just blasting through as many cars as possible, which is exactly the kind of place I'm looking for. Has anyone here found a genuinely good hand wash place that doesn't leave swirl marks and actually cares about the cars they're washing? I don't mind paying a bit more for quality because I've already learned that cheap washes end up being expensive when you factor in the cost of paint correction later on. Any recommendations would be massively appreciated because right now I'm paranoid about washing the car at all and it's already starting to look dusty and sad sitting in my driveway.
