I've got a 2007 DB9 with the 6.0 V12 that's developed a random misfire under light throttle, and the two garages I've tried just want to replace all the coil packs and spark plugs without actually diagnosing which cylinder is the problem. A friend who used to own a Vantage pointed me to http://alzaabiautocare.com/aston-martin/aston-martin-engine-repair/ and said they actually have the proper diagnostic tools to read misfire counters and check fuel trims instead of guessing, which sounds exactly like what I need. Has anyone here had engine work done on an older Aston locally? I'm worried about the labor costs adding up fast, but I also don't want to keep driving it if it's something serious like a failing injector or vacuum leak. Just hoping to find someone who won't charge me a fortune just to tell me what's actually wrong.
